Preventative Care:

At Willow Rock Pet Hospital, we are fully equipped to provide complete medical care for all stages of your dog or cat's life.

Puppies and kittens should be vaccinated starting at 7-8 weeks of age, and it is important to check them for parasites, since some can be contagious to your kids.

Puppies can start on a monthly heartworm preventative such as Heartgard, Interceptor, Sentinel, or Advantage Multi. Flea control is now very safe and easy with Frontline, Advantage, or Program for both dogs and cats.

Sentinel is a great product for dogs, combining heartworm and flea control in one easy monthly pill. It's Program and Interceptor, a winning combination!

Advantage Multi is a great new product for dogs and cats, combining the flea killing power of Advantage along with heartworm prevention in an easy topical application. Recent studies indicate feline heartworm disease is on the rise, so cats are at risk for heartworm too!

Dogs and cats can be spayed or neutered at five to six months of age. Keep them healthy and growing strong with a high quality diet such as Eukanuba or Hills. Barring any health problems, we should only need to see them once a year for a routine exam and annual vaccinations.

Surgery:

At Willow Rock Pet Hospital, we have an experienced staff and doctor to do just about any type of routine surgery, from spay and neuter, to more extensive procedures such as lumpectomies. Our patients are monitored with the latest ECG equipment and Pulse Oximetry.

Dental:

We have the latest in Ultrasonic Scaling and Polishing equipment to keep those teeth in your pet's mouth in good shape, and their breath smelling fresh. All Dental procedures include pre-anesthetic bloodwork.

Great News! A new vaccine to prevent against Periodontal Disease in dogs is now available. The initial vaccine is included in all of our canine dental procedures, it should be boostered a month later, and then administered annually with all other vaccines. This is a big step in keeping our furry companions' smile healthy and smelling fresh!

X-Ray:

We have in-house X-ray equipment and an automatic processor, to get immediate answers to health questions.
